Discovery: Benchmark
Key aspect of benchmark
Is to identify our competitors' values and differentiation strategies, so we can design the most relevant features.

Define: user flows and sketching

Prioritize
features
Hard part is to prioritize
features with both product
and tech team.
Define
scenarios
During a product workshop
we defined the first user journeys and hypothesis
to test.
Sketching the
homepage
I animated a crazy 8 workshop then we synthesized sketches
with other designers.
Develop: Wireframing (low-fi & high-fi)
Key design challenges
Adapt the features to tech constraints
Create an accessible UI
Create a variable design system
Find the right balance of data
It was difficult to chose a fully
accessible UI, I had never done
that before.
User research: interviews & A/B testing

I truly think
User interviews reveal emotions and stories that A/B testing can’t uncover, while A/B testing provides hard evidence that interviews can’t offer. Together, they give a fuller picture.
Protocol
and prototype
I helped my team prepare
the protocols to know what
to ask the users to do
during tests.
A/B Testing
We proposed to users
a high-fi version of our app
versus a competitor app
and asked about the UI.
User interviews
I interviewed people from
the UK and Belgium via
the platform User Testing.
🤓 It was harder in english.
