Context

About Leadbay and the projects

  • Leadbay is a B2B sales prospecting support tool that uses AI to help field teams identify, score, and qualify high-potential leads.

  • Note: It's an early-stage startup that began developing their app without a dedicated product designer.

  • Here, the goal was to create the mobile version of the desktop app to allow users to manage their leads and sales activities on the go and add more values to our product.

About what I did

  1. Shadowing

  2. Tree structure

  3. Mockups and specs

  4. Analyze app usage

  5. Product feedback workshop

  6. Continuous iterations

  1. Discovery: Shadowing

Shadowing

  • Carry out a qualitative interview with an engaged user.

  • Observe a user’s overall daily journey.

  • Understand user behaviors, frustrations,
    and goals.

Challenges

  • 🤓 Interview a sales rep, as
    they’re used to conducting
    interviews.

  • Rely on insights from
    a limited number of users.

  1. Define: simplify tree structure

Simplify

  • Identify essential screens and simplify flows.

  • Build a minimalist and ergonomic journey to avoid friction on small screens.

  • Integrate new features specific to mobile use.

  1. Develop: the lead profile

Challenges

Design things that are not
going to be implemented
for sure.

  1. Ideation: workshop on lead profile

Workshop

  • How can we give more
    value to the lead profile.

  • Implement the new lead profile on the desktop app as well.

  1. Develop: new lead profile
